PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Laminate Flooring

Laminate flooring is a multi-layered synthetic flooring type most commonly found in interior spaces. The general composition of laminate flooring consists of three layers. The base layer is a waterproof layer located beneath the base, which increases structural stability and acts as a moisture barrier. The thick, middle layer is a wood composite base. The top layer of laminate flooring is a wear-resistant and decorative layer, which can consist of multiple layers depending on the manufacturing process. The surface coating of laminate flooring consists of cellulose treated with a special artificial resin to provide a hard and durable surface.

Advantages of Laminate Flooring

  • Laminate flooring is durable and resistant to scratches and wear thanks to its special hard surface coating.
  • These products are flame-resistant thanks to their heat-insulating properties.
  • Laminate flooring is a product whose colors either fade very slowly or not at all, even when directly exposed to UV rays.
  • They are quick and easy to assemble.
  • Thanks to the Blue Angel Certificate found in laminate flooring, you can enjoy healthier floors.
  • Thanks to these hypoallergenic products, there's nowhere for dust to hide.
  • Because it conducts heat, you can prefer it in underfloor heating systems.
  • With proper use, it has a long lifespan. For example, a laminate floor in a living room can last up to 15-20 years.
  • It is easy to install thanks to its non-slip properties; and thanks to high-tech production, it has a natural flooring pattern that provides protection against moisture and dirt at the joints.

Grooved Laminate Flooring

The grout lines in laminate flooring are not like the grout lines in tiles or ceramics. While ceramics have a gap between them when the term "grout" is used, laminate flooring does not leave any gaps. No grout filling is required after the installation of laminate flooring with grout lines. The grout line in laminate flooring is a 1mm wide, V-shaped protrusion at the point where two laminate planks meet. When two planks are joined, this V-shaped protrusion creates the appearance of a gap. However, this is not actually a gap, it's just an appearance; in laminate flooring with grout lines, the planks are completely joined.

Grooved parquet flooring is no different from ungrooved parquet in terms of cleaning and maintenance. It can be easily cleaned with a cloth. Grooved parquet models generally make a space look larger and add a unique atmosphere. Because it creates a more aesthetic appearance, it is a frequently preferred model by architects.

The most important thing to remember when using grooved parquet flooring is to prevent furniture from scratching the surface. To avoid damaging the joints, be careful not to drag furniture while moving it. This will help your parquet last much longer.

Flooring Classes – Flooring Wear Classes

When choosing laminate flooring, an important part of home decor, it's helpful to know the abrasion resistance ratings. The ratings indicate increasing durability and quality, from lower to higher. Generally, laminate flooring ratings are 21, 22, 23, 31, 32, and 33. These abrasion resistance ratings are also grouped as AC3, AC4, and AC5, indicating the flooring's durability.

  • Grade 21 and 22 parquet flooring is preferred in areas with very low foot traffic.
  • Class 32 and 33 parquet flooring is preferred in areas with high foot traffic.
  • Grade 31 parquet flooring is generally the most ideal choice for home designs.

(AC3) class laminate flooring: preferred in rooms with low load and foot traffic. With careful use, its lifespan can extend up to 8-10 years. It is the most frequently chosen and also the most affordable product.

Class 32 (AC4) laminate flooring is preferred in rooms with average load-bearing capacity. Its lifespan can reach 10-15 years. It is an ideal type of flooring that is not expensive.

(AC5-6) class laminate flooring: Preferred in rooms with heavy loads. This type of flooring can be used for 15-20 years while maintaining a constant load.
